The short version: the repack is free forever. Donations are voluntary thank-yous, not purchases of a service — but if anything ever goes wrong with one, contact us and we'll make it right. Be decent with the hosted services, keep your license key to yourself, and run backups (the App makes that one click). That's basically it.

What WOW Legends is

A free, self-hosted World of Warcraft 3.3.5a server repack — an AzerothCore fork with custom modules — plus optional tooling around it. It is a hobby project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment; World of Warcraft is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment. The repack is intended for private, non-commercial use, and you must supply your own 3.3.5a game client — we don't distribute it.

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself and give us a real email (it's how password resets and supporter perks reach you). We may disable accounts that abuse the site, other users, or the hosted services — we've never had to, and we'd always rather talk first.

Donations & the supporter tier

• Donations are voluntary and processed via Ko-fi. Nothing on this site is required to play — the full repack, both addons and all documentation are free for everyone, forever.
• A one-time donation of 25 € or more unlocks the supporter thank-you: the Desktop App, your own player portal, hosted-AI starter credits and 12 months of App updates, plus priority support.
• Updates work like JetBrains licenses: every release published within your 12-month window is yours to keep and re-download forever, even after the window ends. Renewing is optional and only affects newer releases.
• Your license key is personal to your account — please don't share or resell it. It's what makes your portal and App activation work.

Hosted-AI credits

1 credit = 1 bot reply. Credits never expire, but they have no cash value, aren't transferable, and can't be converted back to money. You never need them: the AI layer runs just as well on your own Ollama or API key, free.

Refunds

Donations are voluntary, so there's no formal refund product — but we mean it when we say no donation gets lost: if something went wrong (wrong email, a double donation, perks that didn't arrive), use the contact form or Discord and we'll sort it out case by case, including refunding honest mistakes. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights you have as an EU consumer.

Software & licenses

• The repack is built on open-source software; each component's license (GPL/AGPL and others) is published in its repository and is what governs it.
• The GM and Player addons are free and open-source under the MIT license.
• The Desktop App and player portal are supporter software: yours to use and keep, not to redistribute.
• Longevity promise: if WOW Legends ever had to wind down, we've committed to releasing the App and the player portal in a free, self-hostable form — so nothing you've built stops working. Details on the supporter page.

No warranty

Everything here is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind — it's a passion project, not an enterprise contract. We genuinely care and we fix things fast, but you run this software on your own machine at your own risk. Please use backups; the App does them in one click for exactly this reason.

Fair use of hosted services

The hosted AI proxy, the website and its API are shared infrastructure paid for by donations. Automated abuse, attempts to break in, or reselling access aren't okay and can get an account disabled. Rate limits exist to keep it fast for everyone.

Changes

If these terms change, the update lands here with a new date. No silent rewrites, and never in a direction that takes away something you already have.
